On the Park Apartments

The project is located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle at the corner of 24th Avenue NW and NW 57th Street.  It will consist of an eight story mid-rise structure containing 268 rental apartments, a 41,000 square foot QFC (Kroger) grocery store and 411 parking spaces.  The property is being developed on a 1.46 acre parcel under a long-term ground lease.  The surrounding neighborhood, which was originally settled as a Scandinavian enclave, is currently in the midst of gentrifying as a number of for sale residential projects are being built.  the front of the site, 24th Avenue, is a 4-lane thoroughfare which features public transit.  To the rear of the site is Ballard Park, a small urban park which was built by the City of Seattle in 2006 and the new Ballard Public Library.
